Wanna hang out Wednesday night?
My goal with these weekly love letters is to build community around craft and creativity. And I genuinely want our connection to extend beyond your inbox and even the All Hands studio. I want to create *culture* together. All that being said, are you free Wednesday night to come with me to see Elizabeth Gilbert speak at the Rio Theatre? I thought it'd be awesome to hang out and chew on the food for thought offered up by the creative powerhouse behind Eat, Pray, Love, Big Magic and (her latest) City of Girls. The picture above is from Big Magic - a fun read that makes a case for embracing creative living, with all the fear and exhilaration that entails. I especially love this bit:
"Perhaps creativity's greatest mercy is this: By completely absorbing our attention for a short and magical spell, it can relieve us temporarily from the dreadful burden of being who we are. Best of all, at the end of your creative adventure, you have a souvenir - something that you made, something to remind you forever of your brief but transformative encounter with inspiration."

Also, consider getting in on the magic happening tomorrow at All Hands - Natural Perfume Making with Jessica Hannah and Resin Ocean Waves with Ana Bachmanova.
Here's to more creative adventures,
PS. The Artist's Way starts next weekend! There are scholarships available, so know that cost doesn't have to be a barrier. Please reach out if you have any questions.
PPS. I'm serious about going to see Liz Gilbert together on Wednesday. Let me know if you're down.
