All Hands' schedule of workshops and classes is on pause until further notice.

You can expect to be warmly welcomed when you arrive, either by your teacher, a studio assistant or the owner, Kendra. Workshops start promptly with the teacher sharing some historical context for the craft and their own journey with the medium. Then you’ll dive in and start making! Tasty refreshments and a good vibes soundtrack will be on hand to fuel your creativity. The teacher will guide you with demonstrations and one-on-one attention as needed. It is not uncommon to form new friendships with those gathered with you at the table, as laughter, meaningful conversation and meditative quiet all take their turns during your time together. You will either leave with a finished project or the know-how to complete it on your own after the workshop. Workshops vary in their emphasis on process or product. In either case, you will have built your creative capacity while experiencing the restorative power of making by hand.

Absolutely! All Hands is for anyone drawn to creative handwork, whether as a complete beginner, a dabbler or a long time practitioner.

All Hands members are people who know that regular creative expression is essential to a healthy lifestyle, right up there with a good diet, sleep and exercise, loving relationships and positive thinking. For a year from the date of purchase, members receive 20% off all workshops and two 10% discount codes to give to friends. There will be other occasional perks as well, but the greatest reward is the commitment you make to your creative practice.

Our workshops are generally designed for ages 14 and up. If you have a younger child interested in a particular workshop, they can participate as long as they are with a parent or guardian who has paid for their own spot and has gotten permission from the teacher. Our ‘Family Style’ workshops are designed for a child and parent to participate together and only require purchasing one ticket.

While we totally understand that ‘life happens’, we do not issue refunds on workshop registrations. If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit to use toward any future workshop, as long as you notify us at least 72 hours before the workshop. To cancel and request a credit, email us at We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 72 hours advance notice. The same policy applies to classes at All Hands Workshops.

Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our teachers — all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose time and money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs. In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend! Thank you for understanding!

The parking lot immediately adjacent to our studio at 514a Front Street is available to All Hands customers and is free. Paid parking is available on the street directly in front of the studio as well as across the street in a large lot. You may be ticketed if you park in the Wells Fargo lot.
